One in two people born after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer. There are currently 2.5 million people living with a cancer diagnosis in the UK. To find out how a holistic assessment can support real patient-centred care, join us for talks from two RD&E Staff passionate about their work in Cancer Services.

Dr Niranjali Vijeratnam – Consultant in Palliative Medicine at the RD&E
Niranjali trained in a wide range of Palliative Care Teams across London/Hertfordshire before working in innovative Palliative Consultant posts in Somerset for 3 years and the Enhanced Supportive Care Team at the Trust for the last 2 years.
Maria Bracey – Clinical Lead for ‘Living with and beyond Cancer‘ at the RD&E
Maria’s passion is improving patient experience. She supports cancer teams at the Trust to introduce personalised care planning by means of holistic needs assessments, health & wellbeing information and signposting to appropriate support services in the community setting.
This seminar is a unique opportunity to hear first hand about a holistic approach to optimising health for those living with a cancer diagnosis.
