Are you a people person with some spare time on your hands? If so then why not come and join our fantastic team of volunteers working at the RD&E.
The RD&E has almost 300 volunteers supporting the Trust in a variety of ways from providing a trolley shop service to hospital radio to supporting staff in the clinical environment.
Volunteers contribute to positive patient experience by providing services in support of frontline clinical/nursing staff. They make a real difference to both staff and patient experience and play an important role in the everyday hospital life at the RD&E.
As a volunteer you’ll need to work well in a team, be friendly, sociable and enjoy meeting people.
There are many different opportunities to get involved as a volunteer in the hospital and the Trust also works with many partner organisations, such as Force Cancer Charity and the Exeter Leukaemia Fund, who depend on volunteers to function.
Watch our volunteer video to see and hear from some of our volunteers about why they like it and what they get out of it.
