Trust members joined Trust directors, governors and non-executive directors for our Annual Members’ Meeting and Medicine for Members’ event. Held on 25 September at the RILD Building, the event was fully subscribed with over 120 members attending along with newly-elected governors and non-executive directors.
The day was chance for them to learn more about the Trust’s work and included two ‘Medicine for Members’ sessions, focusing on ‘ the Role of the Admiral Nurse in Partnership with Dementia UK ’ and ‘ Total Hip Replacement; The Operation of the Century’ presented by senior RD&E consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Matthew Wilson.
Following refreshments, the event ended with the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting where last year’s achievements, Trust accounts and plans for future were shared by the RD&E’s Chief Executive Suzanne Tracey. Retiring governors were also thanked for their work and presented with certificates.
The event was also live-streamed, so if you weren’t able to attend take a look at some of the footage via our Facebook page
